Preservation Information
143616 became the 7th of the class to be preserved after the Tanat Valley Railwaysecured two sets for its modest line. It arrived shortly after classmate 143601 in July 2021.

Because the Tanat Valley had not yet reached a stage where it was offering passenger rides, 143616 was initially stored but kept in an operating condition. The railway recognised that the set was the better of the two sets it had obtained so 143616 was retained in storage with only "minor fettling" required to make it passenger ready once public rides were launched.

143616 remains "stored servicable" awaiting the day that the railway starts its passenger operations.

Passenger use on the railway once it opens.
