Preservation Information
144018 became the 12th Class 144 to be preserved when it was moved by road to theMid Norfolk Railway in December 2020. Shortly after arrival it made the news for all of the wrong reasons when MS 55854 ended up destroying a level crossing gate at Dereham and settling in the middle of the road whilst being unloaded off its road transporter.

144018 has yet to operate any public services in preservation.

Future Plans

55854 after the cable lowering the vehicle off the low-loader detached allowing the vehicle to run away. It demolished the level crossing gate at Dereham and came to rest in the middle of the road, luckily no road vehicles were damaged or any injouries caused, 10/12/20.
